Rubber Mat

Velcro Straps or Grip Strips
Velcro straps are easily available in the market. With velcro straps, you will have to attach them to the mattress with the hook and loop side. Alternately you can even use safety pins and stick them together. Another way is by using grip strips. You can easily get a grip strip in the market. This serves great if you have wooden slats on the bed frame. An adhesive grip strip has soft polyfoam and includes a sticky side. You can use it by removing the futon and measuring the length of its length.
Cut the piece of the grip strip according to the length of the slat. Following this, you can remove the paper layer and glue one piece on each slat. Make sure that you apply a little bit of pressure. This can be perfect for preventing the sliding of the futon mattress totally. It also helps in absorbing shock and makes sure there will be a firm grip.
Handmade Corners Straps
To make handmade corner straps, you will have to first measure the bed frame height. You can then cut the cording into small pieces. It has to be twice the height of the bed frame. Follow it again and make 8 pieces. With the help of a sewing machine, you can sew two pieces on each corner. You can now wrap the pieces on each corner near the lag of the frame and secure them tightly. This method is also suitable for sofas and makes sure that the futon mattress remains in place.
