Gaming monitors come with multiple features so that you can have an amazing experience. However, you need to know that not all gaming monitors come with the same features. To know what makes a good gaming computer, you will have to compare its overall features. Here is all you need to know before buying a gaming monitor.

LG gaming monitor

Gaming Platform

The gaming platform is according to the AdaptiveSync technology. Most gaming monitors come with FreeSync or G-SYNC technology. This helps to create a high-resolution impact that can improve audio and video.

Color Depth

Gaming monitors can display different shades of color. With it, there will be a smooth transition so that you can easily differentiate between two colors. If there is any inaccuracy, then it can display inaccurate colors. You need to know that each pixel has three colors that can have varying intensity illumination. An 8-bit color offers 16.7 million colors whereas a 10-bit color can provide 1.7 million colors.

Response Time

The response time enables the pixels to change values quickly. If it has improved response time, then you don’t have to worry about ghosting functions. A fast response time can be great for competitive and advanced gaming.

The Panel Technology

Gaming monitors can come with VA, TR, and IPS panels. All of them have their own functionality land offers a better advantage to any gamer. However, all of these panels can have their own drawbacks. A VA panel can be great for gaming purposes. However, you will not be able to have better viewing on a widescreen. For this, an IPS panel can be an ideal consideration.

Refresh Rate

A gaming monitor comes with a higher refresh rate. In a non-gaming monitor, you will find a refresh rate of 60Hz. However, a gaming monitor comes with a minimum refresh rate of 144Hz. This makes sure there will be a perfect gaming experience for having responsive gameplay.

Resolution

The next important thing is resolution. It can come with either full HD, 4K, or UHD resolutions. For gaming purposes, the UHD will be an ideal consideration. It makes sure there will be better visual clarity so that there will be tactile movement. It is also the design that can greatly affect the resolution. You can find the one that can come in an ultra-wide design.

Connectivity

With a USB design, you can make hassle-free connectivity. Some can also come with HDMI display ports so that there will be an easy transfer of files. You can even see it has a headphone port that can be perfect for connecting speakers.

Screen Size

Last but not the least, it is the screen size. Gaming monitors are available in many different sizes ranging from 20 to 50 inches. Keep in mind that large size is not the perfect one. If you use a large monitor, then it can affect the pixel density. Look for the one that comes with pixels per degree formula that can automatically measure the human vision limits. The size also depends upon the setup of your desktop and the distance you are playing.
